In addition to its regular research agenda, which generates scholarly analyses for peer-reviewed publication, the Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development also conducts special commissioned and custom projects on a wide variety of topics identified by individual or multiple project sponsors.
The following are examples of specific commissioned projects that Tufts CSDD has recently conducted:
- Benchmark analysis of clinical research study initiation activities
- Quantitative assessment of the impact of clinical outsourcing on development performance, quality and cost
- Market sizing for a biotechnology company
- Due diligence for a venture capital firm
- Long-range projections on the adoption of an eclinical technology
- Facilitated meeting within the company to identify improvement areas in the clinical study contracting and budgeting process
Tufts CSDD brings broad expertise, creativity, and 30 years of research experience to special commissioned projects. Here are some examples of what we offer:
- Primary and Secondary Research - including surveys, executive and opinion leader interviews, focus groups, and original and secondary data analyses.
- Facilitated Roundtable and Management Meetings - including small and large group conference-style presentations and moderated discussions held onsite at the sponsor organization or at neutral locations (for example at Tufts CSDD’s own conference facility).
- White Papers and Custom Management Reports - including the compilation of source information, review and analyses of mission-critical issues, and R&D trends and their strategic implications. Tufts CSDD can develop a custom white paper report, or, if requested, submit a manuscript for publication in a trade or peer-review journal.
