From the Director
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development website.
Please browse and learn more about our research activities, publications, professional development courses, forums, and information services.
Since 1976, we have advocated on behalf of programs and initiatives that further the cause of pharmaceutical innovation. Today, we remain the only university-based, multi-disciplinary research group committed to exploring the economic, legal, scientific, and political factors that influence the discovery, development, regulation, and utilization of new prescription drugs.
Because of our reputation for scholarly and objective analyses of critical issues impacting the pace and nature of drug development, we are often asked to provide public testimony at Congressional hearings, speak at conferences and public forums, and prepare executive reports.
Going forward, all stakeholders involved in new medicines innovation – pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, regulators, policy-makers, academic research centers, investors, and those companies working with the research-based industry – will need to understand better the myriad factors that affect new product development. We assist by:
- Delivering the most complete, objective research on key drug development issues. (See Research Milestones)
- Offering university and postgraduate-level professional development programs on mission-critical topics. (Details)
- Engaging in custom research projects, on an exclusive or syndicated basis. (More)
